I was heading to pick up a burger and instead turned into Jayna Gyro's parking lot. Best decision I made today! I ordered a beef and lamb bowl with rice and chickpeas, and some falafels. The bowl was delicious and very filling. The falafels were AMAZING, probably some of the best I've ever had. Service was great and so quick that I didn't catch the staff members name who welcomed me. She was really kind and told me about some of the most popular meals. Can't wait to go back to eat in the restaurant because it looks so nice! The space is well designed and has a great ambiance.

Jayna Gyro is the perfect spot to satisfy your Mediterranean cravings. The casual, family-friendly atmosphere is elevated by charming Grecian-inspired decor, complete with soft lights and themed wall art that make you feel like you've stepped into a little Greek getaway. My boyfriend and I stopped by after work and ordered the chicken gyro bowl and the beef/lamb gyro bowl. I'm not usually a fan of lamb, but the thinly sliced meat and incredible seasoning won me over. The beef, in particular, was packed with flavor. While I typically prefer pilaf rice, the fluffy, seasoned rice here was a great match for the dishes. The sauce on the chicken gyro was another standout--it tied everything together beautifully. For our side, my boyfriend chose fries, but it turned out to be more like country-style potatoes. It was a bit unexpected but still tasty. One thing to note is the ordering process: all takeout orders must be placed at a kiosk, and then you pay at the register--an unusual setup, but it works. The only downside was the wait time. Even though the restaurant wasn't busy (only two tables dining in), the kitchen seemed slightly disorganized. Thankfully, our order came out correctly, so no complaints there. While it's a bit pricey for what's essentially a fast-casual spot, I'd definitely come back--especially for lunch or maybe happy hour if they offer one. Their burgers and lavash wraps sound amazing, so I'll be giving those a try next time!

Amazing food, I haven't had such good Mediterranean food in a long time. I enjoyed the lamb burger with Greek fries (seasoned really well and paired with garlic & chipotle sauce). My girlfriend enjoyed the chicken gyro bowl, will definitely come again when in the area.

Jayna Gyro caught my eye with its inviting white and cyan colorway sign. Inside was bright and vibrant so I decided to roll the dice and dine here for lunch. The service was smooth and quick. I sat down and minutes later my gyro bowl appeared. I ordered the beef lamb gyro bowl with Greek Fries and a sour cherry sparkling soda. Immediately two things stood out to me. First, the meat still had a bit of gaminess to it, which some people may not prefer, but for me I want to at least have some reminder that I'm consuming lamb. It was prepared well. The meat was lightly seasoned but the gyro bowl has a mashup of ingredients so it plays nice with the other ingredients in the bowl. Second, the aioli had the right amount of spiciness. I only wish I had more of the sauce. There was plenty of seating and the staff were incredibly attentive. I'm excited to try a few other things on their menu. This was a great start.

It's ok. I wanted to try the place that filled the gross thai restaurant that was here. This lamb gyro combo dish, iskander or something, was nineteen bucks. Kinda steep. It is slightly pricey overall but this was the most expensive dish. It has fried pita underneath which while crispy, was not hard or expensive to make. I dunno. I wouldn't advise getting this one. And the tomato sauce on top wasn't my favorite. Greek food is hit or miss for me usually miss. The meat part was good. No to yogurt for dinner though yikes. For looking like a Lean Cuisine in the packaging I was a little let down after throwing down twenty bucks with tax or so. Didn't take too long to make and they weren't too busy when I went at dinner hour. This corner location seems kinda cursed tbh, no restaurant lasts here. We'll see.

Jayna is probably my favorite mediterranean/greek place in Sacramento! It gives you a nice mix of a sit down, but also a casual place since you order at the counter. They have a good amount of tables and a high top table inside, in addition to some tables in this covered outdoor area, and a few tables in front by the parking lot. I've never had any issues with finding a place to sit! I typically order the chicken gyro or the greek salad with chicken gyro meat. It's the perfect mix of meat and toppings and a hefty portion size! We always order the dip trio - the baba ghanoush being my favorite. I always want to order just the baba ghanoush, but my husband likes the mix. We always order with pita bread but they do give the option of vegetables instead. One of my favorites is the greek yogurt...specifically with olive oil and sea salt. I know it seems like a weird mix, but trust me it's absolutely the best! The service has always been really great! They're fairly fast and the staff is always willing to help if you need anything. They have parking out front, I've never not been able to park in the lot but have been there a few times when it's completely packed. There is some street parking not too far away as well.

When Mitzi says, "You better show up for brunch @ Jayna Gyro!", you dam well better show up or Mitzi will kick yer ass! SITREP Sunday brunch is a "thang" with our amorphous group of Yelper-friends - whether Michael H., Mitzi A., Terry K., Annie C., #SacFoodFromAbove (aka Alex T., etc., and me (and whomever else may be available & willing) - and like a caravan we'll trek from Dim Sum places, to Pho places, to DIY Spring Roll places, to Seafood places, to American Diners, etc. etc. etc. This morning it was a MIDDLE EASTERN exploration! THE SETUP Jayna Gyro (aka "Jayna") hosts a fantastic plethora of Middle Eastern cuisines, including Greek, Turkish, Israeli, Lebonese, etc. The Turkish family that runs this establishment is very friendly, including the young gals serving us on break from college. LE MENU We tried an assortment many different delights, from: * Rotisserie Chicken; * To Falafels (vegetarian deep-fried nuggets made of ground chickpeas) which can be ordered as an appetizer of neggets or in a flour wrap; * Gyro meats (mostly beef & lamb) on a bed of steamed veggies (or in a flour wrap; * Baklava (a pastry of multi-layered philo dough drenched in honey with nuts) And we tried an array of drinks including a pomegranate sparkling wine. Everything was delicious and I truly the handful of times I have been here. THE LOWDOWN You need to check this spot out and invite to come with you! I can't get enough of this cuisine! :D

Had a fun lunch today w/Yelp pals to try Jayna Greek Food and it was great! We started with pomegranate wine and apps like Greek fries (w/feta), falafels, and spanikopita (which I ate so fast o forgot to take a photo!). Then we ordered Islander - a platter of beef/lamb gyros to top of toasted pita bread squares and sauce with grilled tomato and shishito pepper and a whole rotisserie chicken with a double side of chickpea rice! Everything was amazing! Thank goodness I was too full to do my Opa dance....I probably would've scared the other patrons...but I DID twirl my linen napkin and cheer when my food was delivered!! The ambiance of the Sacramento mid-town location was very swanky cool but relaxed...making it a perfect spot to hang out with friends! There is also covered patio seating if you want to dine al fresco. There's a full bar as well...and they have signature cocktails like the hibiscus margarita (which I will have to try on my next visit!).
